Description We are looking for an experienced Attorney specializing in land use litigation to join our team in Frisco, Texas. The successful candidate will bring expertise in civil litigation, municipal laws, and zoning practices, while demonstrating exceptional analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities: u2022 Represent municipalities as lead counsel in defense cases related to land use, civil rights claims, and takings. u2022 Pursue injunctive relief for zoning violations and substandard structures. u2022 Handle cases in federal courts as well as courts of appeal. u2022 Draft and file motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity. u2022 Conduct thorough discovery processes to gather evidence and build strong cases. u2022 Advise clients on municipal laws, zoning regulations, and land use planning. u2022 Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other proceedings as required. u2022 Analyze legal issues and provide strategic recommendations to ensure favorable outcomes. u2022 Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and achieve client objectives. u2022 Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to maintain expertise in the field. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation. u2022 Active license to practice law in the state of Texas. u2022 Proficiency in drafting legal motions, briefs, and related documents. u2022 Solid understanding of municipal laws, zoning, and land use regulations. u2022 Experience with court appearances, including federal and appellate levels. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. u2022 Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously. u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
