Persistent Systems is looking for a Project Specialist to join our growing team! The Project Specialist will join our Programs team and will be responsible for working with Program Managers and Project Managers in managing all aspects of existing projects, development projects, pursuingnew opportunities, and developing existing relationships with cross-functional team members.Position ResponsibilitiesMaintain supporting project management data, including project plans, project schedules, project budgets, action plans, labor hours, etc. in support of Project ManagersResponsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support deliverable development, purchasing activities, invoicing, and project reportingDevelop reports on work performed and / or equipment delivered in multiple formats as requested by the Program and Project ManagerWork with Account Managers to respond to Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotes (RFQ), Requests for Proposals (RFP,) and other relevant requestsWork with customers to complete required Government forms, as requiredProblem solver / self-starter who is willing to develop processes or methods where none exists to accomplish a taskCoordinate contract deliverables, documentation, and reporting requirements to support foreign military sales (FMS), direct commercial sales, and international distribution agreementsAssist with export documentation, licensing (ITAR/EAR), and compliance requirements for international shipmentsLiaise with international partners and end-users to facilitate communication, training schedules, and technical support coordinationCoordinate international logistics including shipping, customs clearance, and documentation for hardware deliveriesCoordinate international travel arrangements and logistical support for project staffCoordinate communication across global teams, including scheduling meetings across multiple time zones, preparing agendas, and maintaining project documentationMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, or similar fields or equivalent experienceExperience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (ex. Infor CSI or similar) performing typical accounting and procurement activities Experience supporting projects, technology, technical writing, and proposal writingExperience with network and communications systemsExperience with Adobe, MS Project, MS Teams, MS Excel, and MS WordDemonstrated experience managing simultaneous tasks and competing prioritiesFamiliarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)Must be available to travel 20-30% of the timeMust have excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work with multiple departments within the organization to accomplish tasksAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbility and willingness to travel internationally in support of customer engagements, training, and program executionPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in business administration, project management, or a similar field or equivalent experienceMust have a United States Secret level security clearance or be able to obtain oneExperience with the DoD Acquisition Process, understanding of the product life cycleCertification in Program Management (PMP) and CCNA or other similar technical certificationsExperience in managing over $1M projectsKnowledge of export compliance regulations (ITAR, EAR, FCPA) and international contracting The base pay for this role can vary from $80,000 to $100,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
