Our innovative materials are found in everything from smartphones to space shuttlesGENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe custodian will keep the building and workspaces clean and safe by providing a variety of cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance functions. They may also support by providing adequate set up and clean up for meetings or activities on the property.REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or GED1-3 year prior janitorial or job-related experienceAbility to pass background and drug screenability to stand and walk 90% of workdayESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms several daily cleanup projects simultaneously without direct supervision. This includes general cleaning an overall maintenance of facilities (rooms, floors, cafeteria, bathrooms etc.) as well as special projects.Follows a cleaning schedule developed by the facilities manager daily.Performs 5S activities as required daily, weekly, and monthly.Arranges furniture and supplies to prepare spaces for internal or external group activities and events. Ensures clean up and tear down after events conclude.Reports any safety problems or building security issues immediately.Ensures energy conservation and environmental compliance in all activities.Identifies and report damaged spaces, spills, or other conditions which need attention to facilities or EHS team members.Operates all equipment (ladders, cleaning tools, floor sanders, carts etc.) in a safe manner and controls access to chemicals. Ability to use polishing equipment, dollies, hoists, and other moving aids.Delivers and inventories a variety of items for distribution (supplies, cleaning agents, toilet paper, towels etc.). May enter purchase requisitions into SAP.Demonstrates helpful and courteous behavior to employees and the public when interacting.Knowledge and compliance with ITAR, EAR and applicable security regulations and the
