Description ICF is seeking a Litigation Paralegal who is quick to learn and is interested in pursuing a career in law, compliance or audit. This position is located within the larger DC Metro area and will require a hybrid work schedule from ICF Headquarters in Reston, Virginia. The role of the Litigation Paralegal is an internally facing professional that will be required to work under moderate supervision to: (1) support the various actions related to ICFu2019s litigation and other legal proceedings connected with ICFu2019s business; (2) support processes to track, report, and manage litigation, potential litigation, and other claim-related matters; (3) support continuing updates to and development of policies and procedures; and (4) support activities related to the operation of the legal team of the Office of General Counsel. The ICF Office of General Counsel is responsible for advising on all legal matters focusing on balancing ICFu2019s business objectives with legal requirements, and minimizing legal risk, costs, and litigation exposure. Responsibilities: + Supporting all aspects of ICFu2019s litigation activity, including managing service of process, conducting legal research on case status, managing all elements of the litigation file, and coordinating discovery and associated deadlines. + Managing ICFu2019s response to third-party process, for example, subpoena or employment records requests, including managing document productions and related tasks (redactions, privilege logs, and other) in conjunction with associated deadlines. + Maintaining the legal teamu2019s litigation files and matter documentation. + Supporting ICFu2019s eDiscovery-related policies, processes, and activities. + Managing ICFu2019s litigation hold process, including engagement with ICFu2019s IT team. + Coordinating, in partnership with Payroll team, ICFu2019s garnishment and employee lien obligations. + Supporting the tracking of and assisting in preparation of reporting on litigation, potential litigation, and other claim-related matters, including regular reporting to senior management and other stakeholders. + Managing communications with external law firm partners, including billing management. + Other Office of General Counsel department management-related projects, as assigned. Minimal overtime is expected at this time. _Please provide a well-written resume that includes the requirements, experience and responsibilities indicated, for consideration._ What we are looking for: + Bacheloru2019s degree or paralegal certification. + 3+ yearsu2019 paralegal or equivalent experience. + Virginia Notary Public, or eligibility to become a Notary Public Professional Experience: + Background in Westlaw or LexisNexis, PACER, and other litigation-related applications. + Strong skillset in standard office software (MS Office, SharePoint, Adobe, etc.) with ability to quickly adapt to new technologies deployed by the department and across the company. + Excellent communication, client service, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail. + Ability to work both independently and effectively with others, demonstrate excellent time management skills, and ability to monitor and meet deadlines. + Ability to take ownership of issues and resolution-oriented and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities quickly and comfortably. Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is: $81,147.00 - $137,949.00 Reston, VA (VA30)
