Able to manage and ensure the safety of construction activities for water treatment facilities in accordance with standards established by the customer, Kurita, and relevant U.S. regulations. The Senior EHS Specialist also performs safety related duties for the EHS team as assigned required.Title: Senior EHS Specialist - ConstructionLocation:PhoenixPay: $90,000 - $115,000On-Site -Project Office 5 days/weekTravel -11 to 49%Plan, arrange, and coordinate site facilities, safety and health equipment, and temporary installations in strict compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local safety regulations, client requirements, and site rules. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments at the construction site to ensure a safe working environment.Provide safety training and guidance to workers and contractors as needed.Monitor and document compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout the construction process.Investigate and report safety incidents, near-misses, and hazards, and recommend corrective actions.Participate in construction management meetings to address safety-related topics and communicate client safety requirements.Assist with reviewing site conditions against the project schedule and coordinating with contractors regarding safety matters.Support the collection and consolidation of construction records from contractors as related to safety.Promptly report to management any related safety and health concerns, including near-misses and incidents, and seek guidance as needed. Ensure all safety incidents are documented and investigated according to company policy and regulatory requirements. Additional EHS support and other duties assigned by Director, EHS & QualityEducation:Prefer a 4-year degree in safety or a closely related field or a combination of safety certifications and experienceExperience:5 years of relevant safety experience EHS certification or BS in science or engineering field of studyOSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety CertificationOSHA 510 Certification for ConstructionKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Working knowledge of OSHA regulationsKnowledge of best safety practices for production environmentsHighly proficient in Microsoft OfficeDemonstrated experience in timely processing of work orders/support requests Understanding of KAI business processesEqual Opportunity Employer, including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities
