May work with support of more senior engineers. Works closely with the overall team to design systems meeting the product requirements. Uses creativity and innovation to design the standard product offering.Concept, design, develop and engineer products that add value and are a solution to customers and market needsCollaborate and review with others on the development team to develop productsEnsure products developed fit with current and future manufacturing operationsEnsure products developed meet competitive and market demands for performance and costSpecify and develop a sequence of operations of automated equipmentPrepares schematics and specifications for control panel fabricationDevelop Programmable Logical Control (PLC) programsMaintain product develop schedules and cost estimatesFollow established engineering standards and best practices including software revision controlPerform prototype development and testingPerform on site beta testing to ensure safety, reliability, and other performance metrics are metInvestigate product issues in the field and determine root causeDomestic travel up to 40% in North America, mostly within the Continental United States.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 2 years of related experienceExperience with sortation and conveyance equipment or robotics design requiredExperience with Allen Bradley control software and tools requiredKnowledge of electrical and safety codes for machine and equipment design including execution of risk assessments requiredKnowledge of industrial automation systems, including HMI and SCADAKnowledge of controls/controllers and PLCsProficient with AutoCAD ElectricalAbility to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTeam-oriented and collaborativeCreative-thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to learn new technologiesSelf-motivatedAbility to work non-traditional hoursEOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/VeteransFederal ContractorIf you need assistance applying to an open position online, please email $80,000.00USD $90,000.00
