Description We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to join our team in Piscataway, New Jersey. In this role, you will oversee financial operations and ensure accuracy in reporting, budgeting, and cost accounting for a manufacturing facility. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute your expertise in financial management and operational efficiency. This role is fully onsite in Piscataway, Nj. Experience with cost accounting and manufacturing industry is required. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements. u2022 Oversee manufacturing cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation and production cost analysis. u2022 Conduct detailed cost accounting reviews to identify trends and areas for improvement. u2022 Prepare comprehensive financial reports to support decision-making and strategic planning. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls within the plant. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance and efficiency. u2022 Monitor and analyze financial metrics to provide actionable insights for operational improvements. u2022 Serve as a key point of contact for audits and financial reviews. u2022 Implement and maintain effective controllership practices across all financial operations. u2022 Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team within the plant Requirements u2022 Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management or controllership roles. u2022 Strong proficiency in month-end close processes and manufacturing cost accounting. u2022 Advanced knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices. u2022 Expertise in financial reporting and analysis. u2022 Proven ability to manage and oversee controllership functions. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. u2022 Effective communication and leadership capabilities. u2022 Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is highly preferred.
