Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflightThis role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is requiredAs part of a hardworking team of Designers, you will:Perform design and maintenance of structural product definition by preparing design layouts and drawings, modifying existing designs and resolving design discrepancies. Coordinate fabrication, installation, and commissioning of new or modified systems at any Blue Origin site.Build models and drawings of designs.Provide guidance on schedule and technical requirements to internal customers.Apply company and industry (design, drafting, parts) techniques to plan, lay-out, and maintain data depicting engineering designs (detail, assembly and installation drawings or datasets).Qualifications:8+ years of experience in aerospace development or similar industryProficiency in design and integration using Creo ParametricProficiency in drawing generation, checking, and release processesExperience in WindchillProficiency in standard fits, tolerance stacks, and GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).Experience selecting standard aerospace hardware, fasteners, bushings, washersExperience working in a cross-functional team responsible for selecting materials, manufacturing processes, and developing the design to produce world-class engineered productsExcellent attention to detail and task ownership, someone who demonstrates pride in all work and willingness to perform low-level tasks when neededExperience managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawingsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:10+ years or experience in aerospace development (launch vehicle or aircraft)Compensation Range for:WA applicants is $39.34 - $55.07Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
