Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will perform advanced accounting tasks and analyses to support the financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, and contribute to the efficiency of accounting processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and finalize complex monthly inventory account reconciliations, including inventory reserves, standard cost variances, and allowances. u2022 Conduct thorough analyses of inventory and manufacturing variances to identify margin outliers and uncover underlying cost drivers. u2022 Document financial activity and impacts during month-end close processes using close management software. u2022 Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis focusing on production costs and organization-related expenses. u2022 Collaborate with FP& A and operations teams to monitor inventory trends, cost fluctuations, and forecast financial impacts. u2022 Assist in external audits and support internal control requirements by providing detailed reconciliation and general ledger documentation. u2022 Identify and implement process improvements and enhancements in financial reporting and inventory management. u2022 Provide ad hoc analyses and insights to leadership and cross-departmental teams for decision-making purposes. u2022 Maintain and update accounting records in compliance with industry standards and company policies. The salary range for this position is $77,000 to $95,000. Benefits: M/D/V - 100% paid by employer for employee 401k with match 2 weeks PTO 6 paid holidays Requirements u2022 Proven experience in corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return preparation. u2022 Proficiency in preparing accurate journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts. u2022 Skilled in using NetSuite or similar accounting software. u2022 Background in the manufacturing industry, with an understanding of inventory and cost accounting. u2022 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. u2022 Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions. u2022 Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with cross-functional teams. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
