Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Everett, Washington. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial analyses related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and cost of goods sold (COGS). Your expertise will be essential in ensuring accurate cost accounting, supporting operational efficiency, and driving improvements in financial processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct month-end closing activities, focusing on inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS). u2022 Analyze budget versus actual performance related to COGS and provide detailed financial insights. u2022 Create and maintain production bills of materials (BOMs) and oversee periodic cost updates. u2022 Examine changes in product design, raw materials, or manufacturing methods to assess cost impacts. u2022 Prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production expenses and analyze production cost trends. u2022 Manage and analyze overhead rates tied to inventory and collaborate with operations management. u2022 Develop cost estimates for new and proposed products or services while recommending cost-saving measures. u2022 Support operational efficiency by analyzing plant metrics and providing actionable insights. u2022 Lead the excess and obsolete inventory review process to ensure financial accuracy. u2022 Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and internal controls to strengthen cost accounting practices. The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $120,000 + discretionary bonus. Benefits: Medical, dental, vision plan offered (PPO) at employee cost. 401k 15 days PTO 8 paid holidays Requirements u2022 Proven experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment. u2022 Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory valuation processes. u2022 Expertise in standard cost accounting and cost analysis methodologies. u2022 Proficiency with ERP systems, such as Epicor, and advanced Excel skills. u2022 Familiarity with analyzing overhead rates and production cost trends. u2022 Ability to develop accurate financial reports and recommendations. u2022 Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
