The Maintenance/Transmitter Engineer is responsible for transmitter site maintenance; and maintenance of broadcast and technology related equipment at the studio. Oversee, maintain, and repair broadcast transmitter, antenna, and signal distribution systems. Participate in managing and maintaining all broadcast and technology related equipment within the studio. Help implement new technologies and technical infrastructure for the facility. Participate in engineering and other technical projects. Evaluate, select, install, service, and maintain broadcast equipment and information technology systems. Work closely with management and co-workers to ensure company objectives are being met. Understand and assist in compliance with rules and regulations applicable to FCC, local, state, and federal laws. Other duties as needed. Salary - $55,000 - $65,000 Requirements & Skills: Can Do attitude, desire to learn new skills consistent with good engineering/IT practices Highly motivated, able to work on your own, or part of a team. Minimum 3 years previous broadcast engineering experience, with an RF and transmitter background. Experience operating, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic broadcast equipment. Satellite ground system equipment experience. ENG (microwave) remote truck and field systems experience. Experience with Newscast production equipment. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work extended hours as needed, may include overnight and weekends.
