In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight across a diverse portfolio of highway projects—supporting collaboration, driving best practices, and ensuring successful project delivery. This is an opportunity to apply your experience in a meaningful way, lead impactful initiatives, and help advance safe, efficient, and sustainable highway systems that serve communities today and into the future.This position offers remote capabilities; however, occasional on-site responsibilities are required.Manage all aspects of highway project delivery, including scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships, while thoroughly understanding project risks and financial measuresServe as a “seller/doer,” developing work with specific clients and leading marketing plan development for target market areasLead and mentor other Project Managers, setting vision and strategy, and supporting professional growth across the teamPrepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documentsTrack and oversee multiple projects, ensuring quality control and compliance with company standardsPlay a key role in client contract interpretation and relationship management, ensuring all client needs are metProvides technical development and facilitates external presentations to clients, the general public, regulatory agencies, etc. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferredMinimum of 15 years of progressive engineering experience; minimum of 8 years of project management experience requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredNHDOT experience strongly preferredExpert knowledge of engineering fundamentals and specialty areasAdvanced proficiency in engineering software as well as Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of MS Project and Deltek Vision preferredDeep understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and transportation regulationsProven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and oversee project accounting processesExperience preparing proposals and project documentation as well as interpreting client contractsActive participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferredAbility to travel up to 20%Lead transformative highway projects that shape the future of mobility and infrastructureMentor and inspire talented teams dedicated to delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation solutionsCollaborate with industry experts and company leadership in a flexible work environmentCurious about the impactful work our Highway & Rail team is doing?
