Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Neenah, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting key accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and sales tax compliance. The ideal candidate will bring accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to maintaining financial integrity. Responsibilities: u2022 Perform verification, allocation, posting, and reconciliation of accounts payable. u2022 Assist in recording monthly sales transactions and entries. u2022 Prepare accurate and error-free accounting reports to support financial decision-making. u2022 Post journal entries to the general ledger and maintain accurate records. u2022 Identify discrepancies and propose solutions to enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and assist in preparing related filings. u2022 Monitor and manage fixed asset tracking and reporting. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely completion. u2022 Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies. u2022 Maintain comprehensive tracking of prepaid expenses and other financial items. Requirements u2022 Proven experience working as a Staff Accountant, with a minimum of 3 years in the field. u2022 Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and procedures. u2022 Familiarity with financial accounting statements and reporting standards. u2022 Proficiency in general ledger activities and month-end/year-end closing processes. u2022 Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct software is highly desirable. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. u2022 Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldu2014Associate's or Bachelor's preferred.
