This position combines technical expertise with service excellence to enhance how users discover, access and engage with library collections and services.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's degree from an ALA-accredited institution3+ years experience working in a library settingWorking experience with integrated library systems and discovery interfacesWorking experience with interlibrary loan/document delivery systems, workflows, and policiesStrong user-centered service orientationProficiency with MS Office and/or Google Suites, and Adobe productsProficiency with HTML/CSS and related web conceptsKnowledge of library resources, Springshare software, and online learning management systemsAbility to set priorities and organize information effectivelyAbility to learn new skills and adapt to a rapidly changing environmentExcellent communication, situational awareness, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work respectfully with othersDESIRED QUALIFICATIONSCandidates with experience in any of these additional areas OR interest in developing such skills are encouraged to apply.Knowledge of user-centered design and/or user experience (UX) evaluationExperience with web languages and development, including JavaScript, and/or XML in relation to customizing library interfaces, managing data integrations, and automating library workflowsKnowledge of accessibility practices such as universal design and Web ContentAccessibility Guidelines (WCAG)RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:1. Management of Interlibrary Loan (ILL)Oversee all aspects of Interlibrary LoanProcess all digital lending and borrowing requests, and fill physical requests on the Philadelphia campusComplete any document delivery requestsWork with Public Services team across all campuses to ensure physical loans are completedEnsure all ILL software is updated and working as neededWork with campus mail room to ensure ILL items are sent and received efficiently and billing is correctKeep all ILL data accurate in library ILS (FOLIO)Report all ILL statistics to Associate Director for annual report and other accreditation requirements2. Digital AccessCollaborate with systems librarian and resource management team to ensure the quality of digital accessOversee the library's use of Springshare products, including LibGuides, LibCal and LibInsightManage the library's integration with the campus' LMS, BlackboardOrganize and implement training for library employees on new library technologies3. User ExperienceDevelop, plan and coordinate regular user studies regarding access to library resourcesMonitor ongoing access and usage patterns for potential enhancementCoordinate data gathering on the use of library resources, spaces and web presenceAssist data analysis and development of reports4. Public ServicesStaff circulation desk as neededEngage in library outreach events regarding resource sharing and accessAssist in the troubleshooting of digital access issues5. MiscellaneousParticipate in collection developmentProvide input into library strategic planningOwn professional developmentServe on college-wide committees as neededParticipate in other duties as assigned by library leadership teamStarting Salary:$60,000 annuallyThe referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
