Position Overview: The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in supporting operational leaders, EMTs, paramedics, dispatch staff, fleet personnel, and administrative teams in a fast-paced, 24/7 emergency response environment. Job Title: HR Business Partner (HRBP) Location: Rochester, NY 14606 Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Schedule: M-F 9/80 (every other Friday off), occasional flexibility to support a 24/7 operation or community events Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 What Youu2019ll Actually Do: Partner With the Business: u00b7 Work directly with operations leaders who manage EMTs, paramedics, and dispatch teams. u00b7 Translate business needs into smart, scalable people strategies. u00b7 Use workforce data (turnover, engagement, scheduling patterns, retention) to drive real conversations. u00b7 Be a coach, challenger, and trusted advisor to managers. Help Transform HR u00b7 Support the rollout of new HR systems, tools, and processes. u00b7 Identify whatu2019s outdated, inefficient, or reactive u2014 and help redesign it. u00b7 Assist and improve how we onboard, develop, engage, and retain employees. u00b7 Contribute to building a People function thatu2019s proactive and not functionally driven. Keep Us Smart & Compliant u00b7 Ensure compliance with employment laws and healthcare regulations. u00b7 Partner with Safety and Compliance to protect our people and our patients. u00b7 Coordinate leaves of absence and workeru2019s compensation per applicable laws. u00b7 Stay ahead of risk instead of reacting to it. Oversee Benefits & Total Rewards Experience u00b7 Support day-to-day benefits administration including enrollments, status changes and employee education. u00b7 Help communicate benefits in a way employees actually understand and value. u00b7 Use benefits and total rewards data to improve retention and employee satisfaction. u00b7 Contribute to modernizing the total rewards strategy as part of the broader HR transformation. Other Duties As Assigned Requirements What You Bring: u00b7Bacheloru2019s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field with 4+ years of progressive HR experience (HRBP or strong HR Generalist background). u00b7 Ability to build relationships with frontline and leadership teams. u00b7 Comfort supporting hourly, shift-based, or 24/7 operations. u00b7 Confidence in managing employee relations independently. u00b7 Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and HR data analytics. u00b7 Data curiosity u2014 you like using numbers to tell a story. u00b7 High emotional intelligence and the ability to build credibility quickly. u00b7 Experience in healthcare, emergency services, logistics, or high-growth environments is a big plus. u00b7 Ability to travel occasionally to local events to help promote the Monroe brand and services to the community. HR certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) are great u2014 but impact matters more than letters. You can earn your certifications while growing with us.
