WFLA-TV/News Channel 8 offers year-round opportunity for students to apply classroom theory to practical experience. Our internship program allows students to experience firsthand the reality of working in the TV broadcasting industry. Interns can test their creative talent, exercise their analytical skills and increase their understanding of broadcasting operations and trends. Our internships oufb00er meaningful educational and work experiences designed to meet the academic and career goals of the intern. Our management team will teach and encourage, but itu2019s up to the student to bring the enthusiasm to learn. Because internships at WFLA-TV News Channel 8 are designed for learning experiences only, they are unpaid. Internship Details : u00b7 Each internship is for 16 hours per week for up to 15 weeks u00b7 Will be well supervised and participate in a meaningful learning experience u00b7 Upon completion of the internship, the student will be evaluated through a written review by the internship supervisor Requirements & Skills : u00b7 Senior in their last year of concentrated study preferred u00b7 Internship must be for school credit u00b7 Be of advanced skill level due to complexity of projects u00b7 A collaborative worker with a willingness to learn u00b7 Previous internship experience a plus Nexstar Media Group, Inc.
