Location: Syracuse, NY Category: Adjunct Faculty Posted On: Fri Feb 27 2026 Job Description: The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences is seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas to teach introductory and intermediate courses for the Fall 2026 semester: Anthropology. Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS + Master's degree in Anthropology from an accredited college, university or a foreign equivalent. OR + Master's degree in Archaeology, Sociology, History, Egyptology, Social Sciences, or Ethnic Studies and 18 graduate-level credits in Anthropology from an accredited college or university or a foreign equivalent PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + College teaching experience. + Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered. Additional Information: + Adjunct rate of pay for the 26/27 academic year is $1,527/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment. + Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
