WORK SCHEDULE + Part-Time / 24 Hours Per Week + Day Shift POSITION HIGHLIGHTS + This individual will be responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering occupational therapy evaluation and intervention to patients referred by a licensed provider. Become part of our team and join our mission to make life healthier for everyone in our community PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES + Direct COTAs, aides, students, and volunteers + Observe and evaluate treatment effect + Perform an appropriate evaluation on all patients as related to the therapy requested and provided and reassessments as per protocol. This includes adolescent, geriatric patients and the general patient population + Assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation u2013 make appropriate physician contact for intervention + Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors + Formulate a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate + Have knowledge of occupational therapy interventions + Maintain records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department + Consult with other departments as appropriate to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities + Assist with orientation and in-service training, participates in guidance and educational programs + Assist in evaluation of staff including interviewing and hiring REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program AND successful completion of American Occupational Therapy Association certification examination AND 18 months of professional occupational therapy experience. OR Equivalent education/experience. Licensed by the state of Washington as an Occupational Therapist or has a valid probational certificate issued by the state of Washington to practice occupational therapy.
