This is a working leadership role for an experienced technician or assistant who enjoys mentoring others, maintaining efficient workflows, and supporting high-quality patient care.A Certified Veterinary Technician is welcome but not required. We will gladly consider a highly experienced and qualified veterinary technician or assistant with strong clinical skills and leadership ability.We are not in a rush—we are looking for the right person who shares our commitment to exceptional patient care, strong team communication, and excellent client service.Lead Technician ResponsibilitiesThe Lead Technician serves as a key support role to the Hospital Manager and doctors, helping guide the technician and assistant team while maintaining daily workflow efficiency.Duties include:Training all newly hired technicians and assistantsProviding ongoing mentorship and coaching for technicians and assistantsMonitoring team performance and helping provide resources or additional training when neededAppropriately assigning staff to daily appointment rolesMonitoring appointment workflow to ensure efficiency and patient care standardsCoordinating technician and assistant lunch periods to ensure appointment coverageCommunicating with front desk staff to maintain smooth daily operationsMotivating team members and promoting positive communicationDelegating tasks during downtime to maintain productivityListening to team feedback and working with the Hospital Manager to resolve concernsReporting concerns or operational issues to the Hospital ManagerCompleting monthly checklistsClinical skills utilized, but not limited to:VenipunctureAnimal restraintDigital radiographsSurgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recoveryAdministering vaccinations and medicationsPerforming treatments as directed by the veterinarianPreparing and maintaining exam roomsEvaluating patient records and filling standing prescription ordersTaking and recording vital signsCollecting patient histories from owners and properly documenting medical recordsCommunicating with pet owners regarding patient careSome of the basics:Pay Range: $20 - $25 (based on skills and experience)Consistent work weeks for a predictable scheduleServing Canine and Feline Patients3 DVMsAvimark and PetDeskHours of Operation:Mondays: 8:00am - 5:30pmTuesday - Friday: 7:00am - 5:30pmSaturday (first 3 of every month): 7:30am - 12:00pmIDEXX Reference Laboratories, In House IDEXX Procyte, Catalyst and Sedivue, Zoetis ImagystDigital Radiology30 Minute Appointments (8:00a - 12:00p / Lunch Break / 1:30p - 5:00p)What Makes Chalet DifferentWe Respect Your Position: We deeply value the well-being and time of our team members.
