PWGC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineering Technician. The successful candidate will join our team of environmental and civil engineers, scientists, and geologists to provide support on mining, material recycling, site planning and environmental remediation projects. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 or higher, and basic knowledge of site layout, grading and drainage, and utility design principles and concepts. These skills will be used to assist the project team in the preparation of site plans, permitting, volume analysis, and construction drawings. The position includes working as part of a project team on land development projects. The candidate should be able to assist Project Managers with project coordination, including coordination with clients, project team members, outside professionals, and governmental agencies. + Technical Expertise Creating and modifying detailed technical drawings Providing technical advice to engineers and designers Conducting complex design work using specialized software + Project Management Coordinating with various stakeholders (engineers, designers, municipalities) Ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations Preparing documentation for regulatory submissions + Leadership and Training Teaching and training staff members Developing company-wide standards Assisting in design processes across multiple departments + Specialized Knowledge Stormwater management and drainage design Sanitary system design Waterfront and environmental projects (ACOE, NYDEC) Experience utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D in the following: + Site development grading and stormwater drainage conveyance design + Site design including grading design for balanced cut / fill calculations and take-offs + Knowledge of ADA grading and compliance guidelines + Area calculations and take-offs + Quantity Take-offs for cost estimates Nice to have- + Working proficiency in MS office suite programs + Experience with site work, grading, drainage, or underground utility design is an advantage. Education- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Drafting & Design Technology, or a related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum seven years' experience $85,000 - $100,000 Depending on Experience Full-time / Exempt Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled
