David Weekley Homes is seeking a strategic Vice President of Finance to join our Corporate team in Houston, TX. This leader will work alongside the Chief Financial Officer and senior leadership to evaluate market trends, manage risk, and uncover growth opportunities that advance both immediate priorities and long-term goals. The ideal candidate combines strong financial expertise with sharp business insight and the ability to turn complex data into clear direction, driving high impact decisions across the organization.Responsibilities:Lead development and execution of the company’s financial strategy aligned with business objectivesDevelop and lead a high performing finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvementPartner with executive leadership to translate financial insights into strategic growth decisionsAdvise and execute on capital strategy and financing structures to support company growthDeliver executive and board level financial reporting and presentationsEstablish capital allocation methods and guidelines that balance growth, risk and returnDirect financial planning, forecasting, modeling and long term strategic analysisOversee cash management and liquidity forecasting to meet financial obligationsMaintain effective working relationships with banks, equity partners and other lending institutionsEvaluate alternative capital sources and acquisition opportunitiesLead treasury operations and drive cost efficiency improvementsQualificationsMinimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, including senior financial leadership partnering with executive managementStrong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, analysis and large scale financial operationsExceptional financial and business acumen with ability to translate complex data into actionable insightsDemonstrated ability to attract, develop and retain high performing finance talentDirect experience negotiating credit agreements and managing banking relationshipsStrategic thinker with ability to influence change in a fast paced environmentExecutive level presentation, communication and interpersonal skillsSelf motivated, high integrity, resilient and proactive with strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExperience in a customer oriented industry is strongly preferredAdditional Information Work Location:This is an on-site positionat our Houston headquarters located near the intersection of I-10 Katy Freeway & 610 W Loop N FreewayWhat We Offer:Come build your future with our winning team, recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For " 19 times David Weekley Homes builds in 19 markets across the U.S. and is one of the largest private home builders in America.
