LeMay Pierce County is seeking a Licensed Welderto join our skilled maintenance team in Puyallup, Washington. This role performs essentialweldingandmetal repairwork on containers, compactors, and related equipment that support our daily operations. We're looking for someone who values safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork.We're proud to offer a supportive environment, competitive pay, and excellent benefits, along with meaningful involvement in community outreach and sustainability initiatives.Hourly Wage:$27.00 to 28.00/HRSchedule:Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-1:30 PMKey ResponsibilitiesPerformweldingand repairs on metal containers, compactors, and structural components.Weld using manual or semiautomatic equipment in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and specifications.Select appropriatewelding methodsand equipment for each spect and test welded components to identify and correct defects.Maintain a clean, safe workspace in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards.Document work performed, parts used, and repair municate effectively with team members and participate in a collaborative work environment.Working Conditions & Physical RequirementsFrequent physical activity, including lifting, pushing, and pulling items over 50 lbs.Exposure to moving mechanical parts;safety proceduresand PPE are required and provided.Work may occur indoors or outdoors depending on operational needs.Some tasks require working in confined or awkward spaces or handling greasy or dirty tools.Required QualificationsCertified Welder or Fabricator (Journeyman).3-4 years ofweldingexperience.Experience using multiplewelding methodsand equipment (e.g., TIG, MMA).Experience operating electrical and manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).Valid Washington State driver's license.CDL is a strong plus.Ability to pass preemployment screenings (background check, drug test, motor vehicle report).Ability to communicate effectively in English to ensure safe and accurate job performance.SAFETY SENSITIVE: YESTo be considered for any of our current openings, you must complete an application at Once you select your position of interest, you will find application information and additional instructions.We offer excellentbenefitsincluding: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, long term & short term disability, life insurance, 401K retirement and unlimited opportunities to
