In this role, you will work closely with project staff to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory management, procurement, and overall warehouse functionality. You will apply your knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control systems, and equipment, such as forklifts, and utilize computer software including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Microsoft Office, and support efficient operations.As a Logistics Specialist II, you will help identify operational deficiencies within the warehouse and recommend process improvements related to inventory and procurement to ensure best practices are followed. Responsibilities include preparing required reports, maintaining accurate records, and performing inventory control activities to evaluate operational efficiency, cleanliness, and organization. You will also support Procurement, Inventory, and Warehouse functions by assisting with the purchasing of materials and supplies, managing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient and effective warehouse operations. This role involves coordinating and optimizing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies across multiple departments. Logistics Specialist II plays a critical role in supporting daily operations by ensuring timely procurement, accurate inventory control, and the safe, organized storage and distribution of goods.Bring your team-focus, adaptability, and commitment to excellence, and weu2019ll help you grow what drives you - and deliver the worldu2019s most challenging Operations Management projects, together.#ourjacobs #bia #omfs #challengeacceptedEssential Duties and Responsibilities:u2022 Assist with developing and managing purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services.u2022 Assist with communicating with supply vendor contracts, obtaining price quotes, and terms with vendors and suppliers.u2022 Maintain vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance. Prepare and maintain logistics documentation such as shipping records, purchase orders, and inventory reports.u2022 Ensure compliance with company and client policies and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.u2022 Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet operational demands.u2022 Assist with conducting regular audits and reconcile inventory records with physical counts.u2022 Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of goods to maintain quality and safety standards.u2022 Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA standards.u2022 Work safely by adhering to established safety procedures and assisting with conducting ongoing safety programs (i.e., Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs))u2022 Prepares necessary shift and log reports; Abides by all federal, state, local, and Jacobu2019s policies and maintain complete recordkeeping proceduresu2022 Work with the other Department Managers, Supervisors, Lead II and Lead I personnel for replacement parts, equipment, chemicals, and other third-party services needed for operationsu2022 Assist with diagnosing problems with staff, while directing and communicating necessary corrective actions to the necessary personnel (i.e., client, director, manager, regulatory agencies)u2022 Ability to work with the clientu2019s staff and provide communication, instruction, and guidance as needed to contractors, vendors, and customers; Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during work (i.e., vendors, contractors, peers, client)u2022 Use CMMS for scheduling, assigning, calculating and reviewing completed work orders to ensure accurate information is included and closing out work orders in a timely manner. Utilize inventory CMMS for accurate tracking and reporting.u2022 Assists management in budgeting, monitoring expenditures, estimating cost, and time for all aspects of repairs or replacements.u2022 Ability to develop, review, and use Microsoft computer applications, including but not limited to Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, email correspondence, and enter information into data management systemsu2022 Perform other duties as assigned, relevant to the department's needs u2022 Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory systems, and warehouse operations.u2022 Experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, procurement or related field.u2022 Self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, and strong technical problem-solving skillsu2022 Digital Literacy (I.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CMMS)u2022 Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsu2022 Analytical and problem-solving abilitiesu2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentu2022 Commitment to accuracy and attention to detailu2022 Valid New Mexico Driveru2019s licenseu2022 High school diploma or GEDIdeally, You'll Also Have:u2022 Experience with ERP, CMMS, or asset management systems.u2022 Experience developing and working within an approved budget. Specifically tracking costs, adjusting activities to stay on budget, and optimizing labor and materialsu2022 Knowledge of safe work practices, principles, and methods of biological and chemical sewage analyses, effects, and problems of industrial waste in wastewater treatment processesu2022 Demonstrates ability to engage and motivate in a team environmentu2022 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the client, the public, coworkers, elected and appointed officialsu2022 Ability to travel/walk to job sites to develop work plans with technicians and managementu2022 Familiarity with inventory systemsu2022 Knowledge of state and federal procurement regulations.Working Conditions:Safety is a core value at Jacobs.
