Job Title

The Night Lease Operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring oil and gas wells and associated equipment to meet daily production targets. This role focuses on maintaining reliable operations, identifying and troubleshooting issues, and supporting maintenance and wellwork activities while adhering to all safety, environmental, and operational standards. This is a night shift position on a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation.Operate wells and production equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelinesMonitor well performance, production rates, pressures, and equipment conditions to ensure optimal operationsIdentify and troubleshoot well and equipment issues, implementing corrective actions as neededPerform routine inspections of wellheads, surface equipment, and facilities to ensure proper working conditionAssist with and support wellwork and intervention operations as requiredPerform basic maintenance activities and coordinate with maintenance teams for corrective, preventive, and predictive workMaintain accurate and detailed logs of operational activities, issues, and shift updatesParticipate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental standardsReport incidents, abnormal conditions, and equipment failures in a timely mannerCollect product samples and perform basic field testing as requiredEnsure proper shift handover communication to maintain continuity of operationsSupport emergency response activities and follow all emergency preparedness proceduresCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operations and ongoing activities2+ yrs. of Lease Operator experience required.High school diploma or GED equivalent required.Strong knowledge of well operations, production equipment, and pipeline systemsExperience monitoring production rates and diagnosing well performance issuesBasic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine maintenance tasksStrong understanding of safety, health, and environmental practices in oil and gas operationsFamiliarity with emergency response procedures and operational protocolsAbility to work a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, including night shifts (6 pm - 6 am)Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
