Description Kyle Clarke from Robert Half is partnering with a growing casino and gaming operation in Western New York that is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting functions. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure regulatory and financial compliance, and provide strategic financial oversight to support the organizationu2019s continued growth. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage all aspects of daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management. u2022 Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards applicable to the gambling industry. u2022 Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports to support strategic decision-making. u2022 Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes to support organizational goals and initiatives. u2022 Lead the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. u2022 Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations for growth opportunities. u2022 Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and efficiency within the department. u2022 Conduct audits and reviews to ensure the integrity of financial data and operational compliance. u2022 Manage document control processes, including scanning and compiling financial records for reporting and compliance purposes. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on leadership roles. u2022 Proficiency in document control and management, including scanning and compiling financial documents. u2022 Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards, particularly in the gambling or casino industry. u2022 Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. u2022 Proven ability to develop and implement internal controls and compliance procedures. u2022 Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail. u2022 Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of mentoring staff. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
