Description Our client, a leader in connectivity solutions, is looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant/Payroll specialist to join their team in the Metuchen, New Jersey area. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Accounting and Senior Accountants to support various financial activities and payroll functions. Salary is 65,000 - 75,000. Benefits include medical insurance, 401k, and PTO. Responsibilities: u2022 Collaborate with the accounting team to facilitate month-end close processes and ensure timely completion. u2022 Reconcile accounts and analyze financial data to maintain accuracy and compliance. u2022 Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to standards. u2022 Provide backup support for payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payroll distribution. u2022 Assist with corporate tax filings, including sales tax and corporate tax returns. u2022 Contribute to audit preparation and support internal control measures. u2022 Analyze financial reports and provide insights to aid in decision-making processes. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations at all times. u2022 Participate in special financial projects as assigned by management. Requirements u2022 Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance. u2022 Familiarity with payroll processing and related systems. u2022 Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
