Swiss Lathe Operator u2013 Chicago, IL Location: Chicago, IL Full-Time On-Site Join a team where your skills directly impact the production of high-precision components used in critical industries like medical, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing.u00a0 We are looking for a Swiss Lathe Operator who takes pride in craftsmanship, accuracy, and continuous improvement.u00a0 We are accepting applications to fill both daylight shift and night shift positions.u00a0 What Youu2019ll Do: + Set up & operate Swiss lathesu00a0to produce high-quality parts. + Read and interpret blueprints & engineering drawings. + Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.u00a0 + Check finished parts to tight tolerances (up to 4 decimal places). + Make tool offsets and minor program edits to maintain quality and efficiency.u00a0 + Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.u00a0 + Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. + Train team members as needed and contribute to continuous improvement. What Weu2019re Looking For: + Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately. + Knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, and GD&T preferred. + Strong communication skills. + Must be a U.S. citizen or able to comply with U.S. export regulations. + Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.u00a0 Experience and Education: + High School diploma or equivalent preferred. + 2+ years of experience operating Swiss Lathe or CNC Lathe. Physical Requirements: + Ability to stand, sit, or bend for up to 10 hours per day. + Lift up to 35 lbs. independently and with control. + Reach overhead, use hands for extended periods, and maintain dexterity. + Ability to stoop or kneel for extended durations. + Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Work Environment: + Regular movement through manufacturing areas near industrial machinery and moderate noise levels. + This is an on-site role; remote work is not available.
