Job Purpose:u00a0The Stocking Clerk ensures that all grocery aisles are well-stocked, organized, clean, and merchandised according to store standards, providing customers with easy access to products and maintaining a positive shopping environment. This Stocking Clerku00a0role is offers 25-30 hours weekly.Duties include:u2022 Stocking & Merchandising: Accurately receiving, unpacking, stocking, and rotating merchandise on shelves, ensuring proper facings, labeling, and attractive product presentation.This includes dry goods, canned goods, frozen foods, glass packaging, and general merchandise.u2022 Inventory & Rotation: Adhering strictly to product rotation procedures (FIFO - First-In, First-Out) to ensure freshness and minimize waste, and assisting with inventory counts as needed.u2022 Department Cleanliness: Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all grocery aisles, shelves, and backroom areas, including sweeping, wiping spills, and removing cardboard and debris.u2022 Customer Assistance: Providing friendly and helpful service to customers, assisting them in locating products, answering basic questions, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.u2022 Pricing & Signage: Verifying that products are correctly priced and that all necessary signs and labels are present and accurate on the shelves.u2022 Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety procedures for lifting, using equipment (e.g., pallet jacks), and maintaining clear aisles to prevent accidents.u2022 Damage Control: Identifying and properly handling damaged or expired products according to store policy.u2022 Professional Conduct and Communication: Following management instructions, providing constructive feedback, completing all required training (including on company technologies and equipment), adhering to company policies and health regulations, and operating powered equipment only if trained.
