Description We are looking for a dedicated Property Manager to oversee operations, compliance, and resident relations for affordable housing communities in Hayward, California. This Contract position requires strong leadership, expertise in property management software, and a deep understanding of affordable housing regulations. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations while fostering positive relationships with residents and staff. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage daily operations of assigned properties, including leasing, resident services, and maintenance coordination. u2022 Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations, fair housing laws, and organizational policies. u2022 Utilize Yardi software to manage rent collection, reporting, and communication with residents. u2022 Monitor financial performance by managing budgets, approving invoices, and preparing monthly reports. u2022 Conduct property audits, annual recertifications, and inspections in collaboration with compliance teams. u2022 Address resident concerns promptly to maintain satisfaction and retention. u2022 Lead and train onsite staff, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment. u2022 Partner with regional management to implement process improvements and ensure accurate reporting. u2022 Maintain detailed records and documentation to ensure regulatory and audit readiness. Requirements u2022 At least 3 years of experience in property or community management, specifically in affordable housing. u2022 Advanced proficiency with Yardi software for property management. u2022 Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to affordable housing. u2022 Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Certified Occupancy Specialist or similar credential is preferred. u2022 Experience managing teams or multiple property locations is advantageous. u2022 Bilingual abilities are a plus.
