One application covers it all What we're looking for in a Building Inspector: Job Summary: Seeking a qualified and motivated Building Inspector to perform plan reviews and field inspections to ensure construction projects meet all applicable building codes. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of building practices and excellent communication skills to work with contractors, homeowners, and the public. This position will be trained under the Senior Building Inspector. Key Responsibilities: · Conduct inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings during all phases of construction, renovation, and repair. · Ensure compliance with the International Building Code (IBC), local zoning ordinances, and other applicable regulations. · Issue written reports, correction notices, and stop work orders as needed. · Review construction plans and building permit applications for code compliance. · Respond to complaints and investigate code violations. · Maintain accurate records and inspection logs. · Work collaboratively with the internal/external departments. · Assist with other duties as assigned by the Building Official.
