The CNC Machinist is responsible for set-up and machining of production, prototype and R&D parts and fixtures. This position works cross functionally to ensure on-time and quality delivery. As the machinist, this position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the equipment. Schedule: Monday u2013 Thursday 6:00 AM u2013 4:30 PM (4x10s). 40 hours per week required, with opportunity for overtime based on business need. What You Will Do: + Machine precision parts for production and R&D utilizing variety of machine tools + Measure and document cost of producing parts relative to time and materials + Inspect own work and others using precision tools, comparators,etc. + Maintain equipment and perform set up of machines; operate CNC machining & cutting equipment + Assist in the design of tooling and fixturesand collaborate with programming team. + Perform work in accordance with Quality Assurance Program policiesand adhere to company safety policies. + Participate in AJAC apprenticeship, if equivalent education and/or experience qualifications are not already met + Work across multiple shiftswhen required + Other duties as assigned WhatYou Need to Succeed: + Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology, 2-year degree in Machine Technology or equivalent trainingpreferred. + 7+ yearsu2019 total experience in manufacturing environment with at least 5+ years CNC machinist experience, preferably with 3 and 5 axis machines, including ability to program, setup and operate machine tools; CNC milling machine, CNC cutting, as well as conventional machines + Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, G-code + Experience developing tools and fixtures + Ability to work unsupervised + Knowledge of machining high tolerance parts + Ability to read and interpret drawings + Effective written and verbal communication skills + Strong math skills, analytical, and customer service skills. + Experience manufacturing to ISO 9000 standards preferred Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly in an environment where heavy work is required and where moderate to loud noiseoccurs. Theemployee is in an assembly plant/warehouse environment that can bedusty. Maybe working around welding operations. Overhead work may be required. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, twist, bend, lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and occasionally lift and move very heavy objects and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. Personal protective equipment will be required and provided. In addition, the individual in this job will be working under time pressure and must be able to perform understress. Theymust be able to work rapidly for long periods and to communicate and interact withothers. Theyalso must be able to perform multiple concurrent tasks, read and comprehend the material theyread. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experiences. + The expected Base Hourly Range: $26.44 - $33.85. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
