A Cardiac Stepdown RN, also known as a Telemetry RN is a registered nurse who specializes in providing care for patients who are recovering from cardiac procedures, surgeries, or events like heart attacks. They offer an intermediate level of care between the ICU and the general medical-surgical floor.
