A Cardiac Stepdown RN, also known as a Telemetry RN is a registered nurse who specializes in providing care for patients who are recovering from cardiac procedures, surgeries, or events like heart attacks. They offer an intermediate level of care between the ICU and the general medical-surgical floor. These nurses are responsible for close monitoring, medication administration, patient education, and care coordination.Shift’s Available: Nights ($4 to $8 differential in pay)Employment Type: Full TimeHours: 7:00pm to 7:00amLocation: Riverview Regional Medical Center - Gadsden, ALHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement optionsLife, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefitsEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):monitor patients' cardiac status, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect any changes or abnormalities, which is crucial for patients recovering from cardiac procedures, heart attacks, or other cardiac conditionsadminister medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous drugs, cardiac medications, and pain management medicationsperform assessments of patients' cardiac status, including physical assessments, review medical histories, and evaluate symptomsprovide education to patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self-care practicesReact promptly to cardiac emergencies, including arrhythmias, cardiac arrests, or respiratory distress, necessitating immediate implementation of emergency procedures, administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and aiding in defibrillation and other crucial life-saving measuresBefore we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
