Yes County New York Street Address 199 Church Street City New York State NY Zip Code 10007 Duties Description The New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF), with over $20 billion of assets under management, is seeking Junior Investment Analysts to assist with all aspects of the agencyu2019s Investment operations including the four (4) core investment areas: Risk Analysis; Trading; Portfolio Management; and Credit Analysis. These positions will give exposure to best-in-class investment practices within a growing and entrepreneurial culture. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:u2022 Assisting with quantitative, qualitative, and administrative aspects of managing NYSIFu2019sPortfolios.u2022 Collaborating with Investment Department colleagues on daily activities and special projects.u2022 Assisting with the development of regular and ad-hoc reporting for senior management and staff.u2022 Interfacing with other internal NYSIF Departments, including administration, finance, compliance, and cash management.u2022 Perform and develop analytics and forecasting models using industry standard investment market related systems.u2022 Other related duties and responsibilities as necessary and assigned. Minimum Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree from an accredited College or University, with a preferred focus on economics, finance, accounting, or related field.u2022 Experience with financial analysis, customer service, and project delivery.u2022 Superior organizational skills with attention to detail.u2022 Strong ability for effective time management and meeting deadlines.u2022 Strong computer proficiency (MS Office) and adeptness in learning new software.u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:u2022 Desire to work in a highly collaborative environment with various stakeholders.u2022 Dedication to public protection and a broad, well-developed array of administrative skills, with background in governmental administration and policies.u2022 Working knowledge and experience in Python.u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
