What Youu2019ll Do This is a fast-paced, real newsroomu2014no two days are the same. + Create & Contribute: Assist in researching, writing, and producing news stories for broadcast and digital platforms + Be Where the Action Is: Work alongside reporters, anchors, producers, and photographersu2014both in the newsroom and out in the field + Pitch Ideas: Bring fresh story ideas to the table and help shape coverage that matters to our audience + Get Hands-On: Learn how to shoot video, frame compelling visuals, and understand what makes a story stand out + Behind the Scenes: Gain exposure to control room operations and how live broadcasts come together in real time What Youu2019ll Gain This internship is designed to build real skillsu2014not just fill a line on your ru00e9sumu00e9. + Hands-on experience in modern, multi-platform journalism + A deeper understanding of how todayu2019s newsrooms operateu2014from broadcast to digital and social + Opportunities to build a professional portfolio with published or produced work + Mentorship from experienced journalists who know the industry inside and out + Valuable connections to jumpstart your career in media To be considered, candidates must: + Be at least 18 years of age + Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate + Be at least a sophomore at an accredited college/university + Be eligible to work in the United States + Be available to work on-site at WCHS in Charleston, WV approximately 15 hours per week for 10 weeks + Be able to start between June 1 u2013 June 19, 2026 + Have reliable transportation (housing/relocation is not provided) + Be passionate about local news, storytelling, and community impact + Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment _All candidates must apply through our careers portal and complete pre-employment requirements._ Why Join Us Because journalism in 2026 is more dynamic than everu2014and this is your chance to be part of it.
