We are Canteen._ u2003 JOB SUMMARY: The Workplace Hospitality Area Manager leads a team of hourly Front-of-House associates across multiple corporate client sites in NYC. This role ensures daily service excellence, staffing coverage, compliance, and strong operational execution across coffee and pantry programs. WHAT YOU'LL DO: u2022 Lead, coach, and support a team of Pantry Attendants, Pantry Captains, and Baristas across multiple accounts u2022 Conduct site visits, inspections, and performance check-ins across assigned accounts u2022 Oversee coffee equipment operations and preventative maintenance by coordinating service calls, installations, and equipment replacements u2022 Maintain high standards for hospitality, presentation, and client experience at each location u2022 Manage schedules and daily coverage, including callouts, PTO, and workforce planning u2022 Safety, food handling, and sanitation compliance (SOPs, audits, corrective action) u2022 Train new hires and reinforce service standards through ongoing coaching and retraining u2022 Approve payroll and ensure accurate timekeeping u2022 Track labor hours and submit weekly billing hours to support invoicing and reporting u2022 Partner with leadership and client stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and professionally WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: u2022 Proven experience managing hourly service teams across multiple locations u2022 Strong leadership, accountability, and coaching skills u2022 Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards u2022 Organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in the field u2022 Confident communicator with a professional presence in corporate environments u2022 Flexible schedule and ability to pivot with client and operational needs u2022 ServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred Apply to Canteen today _Canteen is a member of Compass Group USA_ Click here to Learn More about the Compass Story ( Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
