Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial reporting and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with established accounting standards. u2022 Maintain the general ledger by ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions. u2022 Oversee the month-end close process, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of journal entries. u2022 Assist in external and internal audit processes by providing necessary documentation and support. u2022 Manage account reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly. u2022 Perform bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records. u2022 Utilize NetSuite software for efficient tracking and management of financial data. u2022 Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to ensure timely processing and reporting. u2022 Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy. u2022 Provide insights and recommendations to enhance overall financial performance. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including financial reporting and general ledger management. u2022 Strong expertise in month-end close procedures and account reconciliation. u2022 Proficiency with NetSuite or similar accounting software. u2022 Solid understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. u2022 Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting standards. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under tight deadlines. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
