Join our mission as our next Operator in our Slitting Department to perform operations as described by our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in our Film manufacturing Department. The Slitter performs slitting, packaging, storage, and tracking of clinical chemistry webs in accordance with product and machine standards, while using computer systems to monitor quality and inventory and supporting troubleshooting efforts as needed. This position is in Rochester, NY. Work Schedule: Ability to work a varying schedule of shifts (combination A-B-C) is required. The Responsibilities: Review all procedures, instruction sheets, and temporary orders prior to each slitting event to ensure accuracy. Operate slitting machines in strict accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring equipment and work areas are clean and production-ready. Monitor production parameters and specifications in real-time to ensure product quality and consistency. Maintain precise records in both hard copy and electronic formats, utilizing SAP and ET systems for documentation and label verification. Adhere to GMP and safety protocols, reporting any deviations and assisting with the maintenance and updating of slitting procedures. Manage material inventory, including retrieving supplies from the dock and ensuring the proper sealing, conditioning, and storage of finished product. Collect and process samples according to product standards, overseeing packaging, shipping, and delivery requirements. Support engineering and process teams in troubleshooting equipment issues and resolving production challenges. Condition and maintain interleaving paper and other required consumables in accordance with specifications. Uphold high housekeeping standards throughout all phases of the slitting process to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. The Individual Required High School Diploma or GED. 3 years work experience and a minimum of 3 months experience in operations/manufacturing environment (prefer a regulated industry). Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment. Proficient in reading and writing English. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Flexible to work 8-hour rotating shifts (A, B, and C) Monday-Friday, including occasional overtime. Preferred 2-3 years of experience in chemical/solution prep, recipe-driven processes, solvent/aqueous coating, or mechanical assembly. Vocational or technical education.
