Job Description The Americas Field Service Winding Engineer is responsible for performing on-site inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage generator windings at customer locations globally. This role requires strong technical expertise in generator winding systems, the ability to work independently in the field, and a willingness to travel extensively, including offshore and international assignments. This role pays up to $50/hr depending on relevant experience. Key Responsibilities u2003u2022 Perform winding inspections, electrical testing, maintenance, and repairs on high-voltage generator windings at customer sites worldwide. u2003u2022 Conduct basic mechanical strip-downs and rebuilds to gain access to generator windings. u2003u2022 Execute high- and low-voltage electrical testing in field environments. u2003u2022 Carry out visual inspections of stator, rotor, and excitation systems. u2003u2022 Perform in-situ generator winding repairs, including stator re-wedge work. u2003u2022 Work collaboratively as part of a team during on-site stator strip and rewind operations. u2003u2022 Assist mechanical service engineers on assignments that may not be winding-specific. u2003u2022 Supervise and train internal personnel and external customers as required. u2003u2022 Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and requirements. u2003u2022 Prepare method statements and detailed, concise service reports for customer submission. u2003u2022 Attend technical meetings at customer sites and company facilities. u2003u2022 Complete an on-site risk assessment for every assignment. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Field Service Manager.
