Lead a project to develop, document, and conduct lab experiments, gathering and analyzing data under the guidance of a Quality Engineer. Assist with the organization of Quality Data and information to ensure its easy accessibility and relevance.Position would provide the intern an opportunity to gain real world experience in a quality testing lab, interactions with Product Development chemists, and exposure to manufacturing processes/procedures.Lab testing of paints, colorants, and/or resins as necessary. Testing includes basic paint/colorant test methods including viscosity, pH, WPG, Gloss/Sheen, Tint Strength, and performing drawdowns. Basic resin testing may include %non-volatiles, pH, grit, and particle size.Perform data analysis and present to key stakeholders. Presentation would be used to support decision making process on possible specification or process changesEnsures lab cleanliness standards are adhered toFollows site-wide safety rules and requirements for PPEReview and update test methods for standardization across all sitesAbility to work independently, manage time effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detailExcellent analytical skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of basic lab techniques and maintenance, including proper lab sampling, labeling and housekeepingAble to travel by car to NJ based locations (including Flanders NJ, Montvale NJ, andNewark NJ).
