At Sabey, collaboration and ingenuityaren'tjust encouraged—they are the foundation for excellence.About This RoleAsPre-Development Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Sabey’s pipeline of future developments, long before construction begins.You’lllead zoning and land use strategy, manage entitlement processes, and partner closely with development, leasing, and design teams to ensure new sites areviable, compliant, and positioned for success.This is a highly strategic, cross-functional role within Sabey’s in-house design team.You’llwork across multiple markets simultaneously, influencing site selection, supporting tenant pursuits, and helping translate complex regulatory environments into actionable development pathways. Your work will directlyimpacthow and where Sabey grows next.Your Contribution Will Likely IncludeLeading zoning and land use due diligence for new development sites and acquisitionsInterpreting and applying municipal zoning codes, ordinances, and development regulationsManaging entitlement processes, including land use applications, site plans, and supporting documentationCoordinating with municipalities, planning departments, and regulatory agenciesSupporting public meetings, hearings, and jurisdictional presentationsTracking entitlement timelines and aligning approvals with broader development schedulesPartnering with civil engineers, land use consultants, and legal teams to advance projectsIdentifyingregulatory risks early and developing mitigation strategiesSupporting leasing and development teams with feasibility studies, test fits, and site planningValidating zoning compliance for prospective tenant uses and configurationsPreparing conceptual diagrams, capacity analyses, and site constraint summariesAssistingwith early utility and infrastructure assessmentsContributing to market expansion efforts and preliminary site evaluationsExperience You Will BringLicensed Architect or equivalent professional experience10+ years of experience in architecture, real estate development, or related fieldDeep knowledge of zoning, land use regulations, andpermittingprocessesProven experience managing entitlement processes across multiplejurisdictionsAbility to independently interpret complex codes and regulatory frameworksStrong site planning and feasibility analysis capabilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience collaborating cross-functionally with development, leasing, construction, and external partnersPreferred:Experience with industrial, infrastructure, mission-critical, or data center projectsMulti-jurisdictional experience across U.S. marketsBackground working on the owner/developer sideWorking knowledge of Revit and AutoCADStrategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple active marketsAbility to balance fast-paced leasing support with long-cycle entitlement effortsConfidence interacting with municipal officials, consultants, and brokersInterest inleveragingemerging technologies, including AI toolsSabey's Investment in YouSabey is committed to building an enduring, next-generation company that values and invests in the success of its team members.
