Idaho Street, Seattle, WA 98134 United States ? Starting Pay: $27.26/hour ? Status: Full-Time Immediate Hire ? Schedule: 8:00AM - 4:30PM Monday - Friday Responsibilities As a Gate Inspector , youu2019ll be the first line of defense in maintaining safety and efficiency at our intermodal facility. Youu2019ll be responsible for inspecting all inbound and outbound units using a computer system and/or handheld device, ensuring only authorized equipment and personnel enter or exit the premises. Your role is critical in supporting on-site logistics and keeping ConGlobalu2019s operations running smoothly and securely. Key Responsibilities: + Conduct inspections on inbound and outbound intermodal units. + Utilize handheld devices and/or computer systems to log inspection data. + Control facility access for vehicles and personnel, ensuring compliance with security protocols. + Communicate with drivers, team members, and terminal personnel to coordinate safe and efficient movement. + Support daily yard operations by helping maintain orderly flow and accurate equipment tracking. + Identify and report any damages, hazards, or safety concerns. + Develop accurate repair estimates following IICL guidelines. + Document all required repairs, materials, and labor hours using industryu2011standard software or depot management systems. + Maintain upu2011tou2011date knowledge of IICL rules, repair codes, and current market pricing for parts and labor. + Ensure estimates are completed in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy, transparency, and compliance. Qualifications + Hands-on experience in depot operations, container inspection, or intermodal equipment maintenance. + Strong working knowledge of IICL inspection criteria and repair coding . + Basic computer skills and the ability to use handheld devices. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. + Good communication and customer service skills. + Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, lifting, etc.). + Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening. + The Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations.
