Job Description

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in Accounting CPA required Minimum of 10+ years of recent experience working on Fiduciary Tax for a quality Law Firm, Accounting Firm or Bank Trust Department Knowledge of ProSystem or Gosystem Knowledge of Omega or OneSource Software a plus Professional demeanor and strong work ethic Willingness to learn and to be a team player, with dedication to quality service Excellent written and verbal communication skills Build strong working relationships with clients Knowledge of Tax Forms 1041, 709, 706, and 990-PF JOB KNOWLEDGE: JOB DUTIES: Preparation of fiduciary income tax returns and maintenance of accounts and records for various estates and trusts; preparation of estate and gift tax returns; preparation of private foundation returns; preparation of estate and gift tax calculations for estate planning matters; perform tax research; computation of trustees and executors commissions; calculation of unitrust and annuity payments and maintenance of records with respect to payment dates; coordination of distributions to various trust beneficiaries; arrange for payment of estimated taxes; maintenance of tax tickler and verification of timely filing of returns; assemble work papers for several client individual tax returns; confer with attorneys, investment advisors, and administrators on various matters as questions arise. Communicate with Internal Revenue Service and State Tax Departments to inquire about the status of returns and to resolve tax issues.
