We believe in empowering staff and equipping classrooms to ensure everyu00a0child thrives.Positionu00a0Summary:The On-Call Russian Ukrainian Interpreter supports the Family Engagement team by providing accurate and respectful interpretation and translation for families who do not speak English as their primary language. This role ensures clear communication between staff and families across a variety of settings.Responsibilities include on-site interpretation for parent-teacher conferences, home visits, and family events, as well as occasional remote translation of written materials. The ideal candidate is dependable, responsive, and committed to helping families feel heard, understood, and pensation &u00a0Schedule:On-call Interpreters enjoy flexible scheduling while playing a vital role in keeping EOCF programsu00a0running smoothly.u00a0Availability is needed Monday through Friday during daytime hours, and occasionally in the evenings for events. Hourly rate of $22.40 for basic interpretation services, and $24.51 when providing document translation.u00a0Keyu00a0Responsibilities:Interpret conversations accurately and impartially, maintaining meaning and tone as closely to exact communication as possible.Translate written documents into Russian and/or Ukrainian for distribution to families.Support interpretation needs for staff-related activities, including interviews and onboarding, as requested.u00a0Coordinate availability and respond to interpretation requests in a timely manner.Arrive promptly and prepared for all scheduled interpretation assignments.Collaborate with various positions across the agency.Requiredu00a0Education:High School Diploma or equivalentPreferredu00a0Experience:One yearu00a0of paid interpreter experience, preferably within a human or social services setting.Fluencyu00a0in English and Either Russian and/or Ukrainian, both verbal and written.Abilityu00a0to:Accurately interpret spoken communication in real time with a high level of clarity and detailStrong written translation skills with attention to tone and meaningExcellent organizational skills and ability to manage an on-call, flexible scheduleAbility to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in sensitive situations.u00a0Comfortable working in a variety of settings, including family homes and community events.Use the team approach to resolving problems or conflictsReceive information and feedback in an understanding manner.Attend appropriate staff meetings as assigned.u00a0Interviews to begin as soon a qualified pool of applicants is receivedEducational Opportunities for Children and Families (EOCF) is an EEOC compliant employeru00a0For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
