Description Brooklyn based non profit organization is hiring an Accounting Manager to their team. They are in the office 3 days/week so are seeking locally based candidates only. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead the quarterly closing of accounting books record, following the year end audit required schedules u2022 Managing efficient account and control processes u2022 Document, implement and communicate financial policies and processes u2022 Play a key role in the monthly and end of year closes u2022 Identify ways to automate, optimize and improve financial operations u2022 Prepare quarterly consolidated Income Statement and Balance Sheet in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles u2022 Analyze Balance sheet accounts and Income and expense accounts, as required u2022 Reconcile interfund billing transfers between entities u2022 Monitor reserves, fees, debt entries and escrow funding accounts balances. u2022 Manage banking transactions, including transfers, cash projection and cash management. Assist with tracking and preparation of draw requests from operating, replacement and other reserves u2022 Lead in the creation of and management of user-friendly MIP report u2022 Partner with Controller to develop internal audit programs u2022 Develop key performance indicator dashboards, as needed u2022 Assist with year-end audit government contract audits Requirements u2022 Accounting/Finance degree u2022 CPA/MBA a plus u2022 6+ years non profit Accounting/Audit experience u2022 Strong Excel experience u2022 Great communication skills/presentations and leadership experience Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
