Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team in New York, NY. This is a contract position with opportunities for growth and development within the organization. The role involves handling data entry tasks, order processing, and inventory tracking, with the potential to expand into buyer-facing responsibilities over time. Responsibilities: u2022 Enter high volumes of purchase orders and order numbers into Excel and internal systems with precision. u2022 Monitor and accurately track inventory levels to ensure proper documentation. u2022 Process warehouse orders and verify the completeness of all associated records. u2022 Provide customer service support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues as needed. u2022 Collaborate with team members to improve data entry workflows and maintain system accuracy. u2022 Ensure consistent communication with buyers and stakeholders as responsibilities evolve. u2022 Assist in maintaining organized records and reports for operational efficiency. u2022 Participate in training sessions to enhance Excel and system-related skills. u2022 Adapt to new responsibilities as the role transitions into buyer-facing tasks. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail industry. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP. u2022 Familiarity with internal data systems and tools used for inventory and order tracking. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of data accurately. u2022 Excellent written communication skills for clear interaction with buyers and team members. u2022 Ability to work onsite, Monday through Friday, with a structured schedule. u2022 Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to evolving responsibilities. u2022 Experience in customer service or order management is highly desirable.
