Description We are looking for an experienced Contracts Specialist to join our team in Storrs, Connecticut. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing terms and conditions for contracts related to information technology and telecommunications. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse agreements, including IT hardware, software, maintenance services, and consulting contracts. This is a long-term contract position ideal for candidates with strong expertise in contract administration and management. Responsibilities: u2022 Draft and negotiate detailed terms and conditions for IT and telecommunications contracts, ensuring compliance with established policies and legal requirements. u2022 Review and manage contracts related to IT hardware, software solutions, maintenance agreements, and consulting services. u2022 Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address contract-related concerns and align agreements with organizational goals. u2022 Conduct thorough evaluations of pricing and contract structures for accuracy and efficiency. u2022 Provide guidance on contract compliance and ensure adherence to relevant statutes and regulations. u2022 Develop and maintain standardized templates for agreements to streamline contract processes. u2022 Resolve contract disputes effectively, ensuring favorable outcomes for the organization. u2022 Analyze contracts to identify risks and propose solutions to mitigate potential issues. u2022 Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and external partners to facilitate smooth contract negotiations. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in contract administration, negotiation, and management. u2022 Strong knowledge of drafting agreements and handling contract pricing. u2022 Familiarity with IT and telecommunications contracts, including hardware, software, and consulting services. u2022 Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and legal statutes to contract processes. u2022 Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to address contract-related issues. u2022 Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze contracts for risks and opportunities. u2022 Preference for candidates with experience in higher education, though not mandatory. u2022 Proficiency in managing vendor relationships and resolving disputes effectively.
