Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's corporate accounting team in either Meridian or Gulfport, Mississippi. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization's financial health. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to process improvements and work collaboratively across departments. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare financial reports, including financial statements and budget performance analyses. u2022 Reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies. u2022 Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal control systems. u2022 Assist with the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and procedures. u2022 Record, report, and analyze financial data with accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead improvement initiatives. u2022 Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals.
