Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in New York, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable processes and possess strong organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper coding and timely payments. u2022 Reconcile accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved. u2022 Conduct regular check runs and prepare payments in alignment with company policies. u2022 Enter financial data efficiently into accounting systems, maintaining high levels of accuracy. u2022 Monitor and manage vendor accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues. u2022 Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless accounts payable operations. u2022 Maintain detailed records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes. u2022 Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel to optimize processes. u2022 Review expense reports and ensure adherence to company guidelines. u2022 Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. u2022 Proficiency in invoice processing and account reconciliation. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes of data entry. u2022 Knowledge of coding invoices and check run procedures. u2022 Excellent organizational and time management skills. u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Experience in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
