Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee financial operations and reporting, primarily focusing on property and portfolio accounting within the real estate sector. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic organization while enhancing your attention to detail skills. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance. u2022 Prepare and submit accurate corporate tax returns and sales tax filings. u2022 Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in resolving tax-related issues. u2022 Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. u2022 Utilize accounting software such as Yardi and Entrata to maintain detailed financial records. u2022 Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing processes. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows. u2022 Assist in audits and ensure adherence to internal controls. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 At least 1 year of experience in property accounting, multifamily, real estate, or portfolio accounting. u2022 Proficiency in Yardi and/or Entrata accounting software. u2022 Solid understanding of corporate tax, sales tax, and tax return preparation. u2022 Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger processes. u2022 Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. u2022 Effective communication and organizational abilities. u2022 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
