JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under thedirection of the supervisor, the Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse A storesand locates raw material, semi-finished, and finished parts followingestablished storage layout and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following, other duties may be assigned.Read routing sheets, blueprint, or requisitions to determine items to bemoved, gathered, or distributed. Operate forklift and hand truck totransport stored items from warehouse to shipping area. Assist withloading and unloading trucks. Receive packages from various overnightdelivery services. Deliver package to proper personnel. Maintaininventory records. Notify Administrative Manager of low inventorysupply. Transport materials and items from receiving or production areasor to storage. Watch for damaged, nicked, rusty, or faulty material orpackages. Weigh or counts items for distribution within plant and beforebeing shipped to ensure conformance to company standards. Follow allclean up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality and safetyregulations. Perform the duties of the Shipper and Receiver as needed.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Requires one to three years of tradestraining or equivalent experience plus one to three years' relatedexperience. Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and dividein all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,decimals, and percent. Requires the ability to operate various equipmentto include a computer, and various hand tools. Requires a basicknowledge of machine shop procedures. Requires ability to operator aforklift truck and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
